Morning Glory Farm

Morning Glory Strawberry Festival

Morning Glory Farm on the corner of Meshaket Road and Edgartown-West Tisbury Road, just about a mile out of Edgartown town center, is approximately 65 acres of farmland and was established in 1975 by James and Deborah Athearn. This small family-owned farm and farmstand operates from May through December.

A popular spot for locals and visitors alike, here you can get fresh locally grown produce and flowers. MGF (the abbreviated local name for Morning Glory Farm) crops include their own sweet corn – it can be a fun and frenzied waiting for the day’s harvest, squash, mixed greens, herbs, peaches, pumpkins, strawberries, potatoes, eggs, pasture-raised chicken, pork, beef and more. Hot lunches, soups, and an amazing salad bar are available daily. You can enjoy breakfast and lunch on their covered porch or at the picnic tables and strike up a conversation with new friends.

In Spring and at the peak of the strawberry season, Morning Glory Farm holds their free annual Strawberry Festival with Games, hay rides, tie-dye, face-painting, the Strawberry Princess, strawberry short-cake, and more…
